The research in Wang’s group includes:

1. Develop transition-metal nano-particles (NPs) catalyzed coupling reaction. Focused on the preparation and characterization of nanoparticles, improving their catalytic efficiency in the coupling reaction, and investigating the catalytic mechanism.


2.  Selective functionalization of phenols: develop new methodologies to forge C-C, C-O, and C-N bonds and discover the mechanism; explore new radical precursors.


3. C-H activation, develop new directing groups to accomplish inert C-H bonds cross-coupling reactions.


4. Discovery on novel functional polymer skeleton. Develop and prepare the novel polymer skeleton structure, modify its main chain and side chain and study its properties.
